With Halloween around the corner it's possible that your kitchen cupboards, like ours, are currently stocked with chocolates and lollies, ready for the onslaught of cute little trick-or-treaters who will come knocking. But while one of the best parts of partaking in Halloween festivities is raiding your kiddies chocolate stash (no judgement here!), we know the sugar overload can often leave you feeling flat.
Enter: these delicious Date-Pricot Bliss Balls! Make up a batch of these to have on hand when the sugar cravings hit. Packed with healthy ingredients such as nuts, seeds and dried fruit, they satisfy that sweet tooth while also leaving you fuller for longer. They also pack a punch nutrient wise, with the combo of almonds, dates, sunflower seeds and coconut giving you a healthy dose of fibre, fats, protein and Vitamin-E.
Topped off with a yummy scoop of honey, these balls are a hit with the kids and perfect for school lunch boxes. Though we can't guarantee how they'd go down with the trick-or-treaters, you can always try...
Date-Pricot Bliss Balls
Ingredients
1/2 cup dates, soaked in warm water for 10 minutes
1/2 cup shredded coconut
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup almonds
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/4 cup apricots
1TBSP chia seeds
1TBSP runny honey
1TBSP tahini
Sesame seeds, desiccated coconut, cocoa - to serve
Method
Place the drained dates, coconut, oats, almonds, sunflower seeds, apricots, chia seeds, honey and tahini in a food processor.

Pulse until well combined and starting to stick together. Roll into golf-sized balls.

Roll in sesame seeds/coconut/cocoa. Cover and refrigerate until needed.
Enjoy with a delicious cup of peppermint tea.
